Why take on a coach?
People take on a coach for many different reasons such as preparing for the future, growing as a leader, improving personal effectiveness, managing conflict, or finding increased engagement and meaning. The possibilities are endless.
Whether you have decided to take on a coach, or your organisation has provided you with one, coaching represents a significant investment in both time, effort and money. My role as coach is to help you think better, and help you develop new habits and behaviours so that you can be more effective and gain greater satisfaction from specific areas of life. Ultimately of course, you get from coaching what you put in.
Different types of coaching
-
Personal Coaching
A highly personalised approach to help individuals focus on what’s most important for them right now. Using insights from neuroscience, we identify the habits most likely to move them closer to their goals, and help them find better and more useful ways of getting there.
A personal coaching series is typically 10 x 1-hour sessions held weekly or fortnightly, with the focus of each session tailored to the particular needs of the client.
-
Leadership Coaching
A collaborative approach to leadership development, designed to create lasting behaviour change in leaders across the government, not-for-profit and business sectors.
I typically work with leaders over 6 months, tailoring the focus of each session to their needs in areas such as leadership style, team engagement, communicating for positive impact, navigating difficult conversations, self-awareness and strategic thinking.
-
Team Coaching
I work with all types of teams, from senior leaders to whole organisations, offering a tailored solution that enables the team to learn, adapt and grow together, and create a workplace where everyone thrives and achieves more.
Typical team coaching engagements involve 6 x 90-minute sessions, starting by defining three key areas of focus, and then building behaviours that move the team systematically towards their goals.
